Web Workshop: Venous Thromboembolism: Current and Proven Strategies for Effective Prophylaxis (More Info)

Description: Register Now for an Interactive Web Workshop to be held on 11/10/08 at 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time on VTE. Although many tools exist to significantly reduce the risk and occurrence of venous thromboembolism (VTE), this disease remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among hospitalized patients. The data overwhelmingly demonstrate the benefits of VTE prophylaxis in both surgical and acute medical settings. However, the vast majority of patients are still receiving inadequate or inappropriate preventive care. Your distinguished host for this discussion and case presentation is Dr. Franklin Michota, a contributor to current clinical practice guidelines and a nationally recognized leader in the areas of VTE management, preoperative evaluation, and perioperative care.
