Description: Saving the Hearts of Women: This CME course is designed to provide practical guidelines for management of the range of cardiovascular diseases in women, including coronary heart disease, arrhythmias and valvular disease with particular attention to racial and ethnic differences. An additional segment will focus on answering many other questions asked by patients, including the role of stress and depression in heart disease and the role of hormones and vitamin supplements in the prevention of heart disease. A final segment will address the potential for cardiotoxcity in breast cancer patients receiving chemotheraphy and in survivors. Through lectures, case management discussions and open question and answers, expert faculty practical information that attendees can use in their daily practice. 4th Annual Breast Cancer Update Including New Data from the San Antonio Breast Meeting: This course synthesizes the scope of breast cancer research and shows how to apply the rapid transition of new knowledge into improved care for breast cancer patients. Through lectures, case management discussions and open question and answers, expert faculty provide practical information that attendees can use in their daily practice.
